Respect the objectives of the tertiary decree in your public pool or aquatic centre
The tertiary decree applied to public swimming pools
The decree applies to all tertiary buildings with a surface area of more than 1000 m², including public swimming pools.
The tertiary decree requires the implementation of effective solutions for reducing energy consumption in public swimming pools and aquatic centres.
These solutions are detailed in the BACS decree.
With the publication of the ELAN law (Évolution du Logement, de l'Aménagement et du Numérique) in 2018, a new obligation was included in the Code de la construction et de l'habitation, concerning the reduction of energy consumption in the French tertiary sector.
The tertiary decree, which came into force in October 2019, specifies the terms of application of the ELAN law. Also known as "EcoÉnergie tertiaire", it sets ambitious reduction targets:
- -40% of energy consumption by 2030
- -50% by 2040
- -60% by 2050
How to comply with the tertiary decree in a public swimming pool or aquatic centre?
Different actions are possible to achieve the objectives of the tertiary decree. They can be divided into 4 main categories:
1. Energy performance of buildings
2. Efficient equipment and its active management
3. How the equipment is operated
4. Adapting premises for energy-efficient use
Sunny Shark falls into the second category above. Indeed, thanks to the Smart Pooling® from Sunny SharkThe control of the equipment is active and anticipatory, i.e. the system is capable of to anticipate needs in order to limit energy consumption to what is strictly necessary for the various expenditure items of a public swimming pool or aquatic centre :
- The air treatment halls basins
- The water treatment
- The heating beaches and other facilities
- The boiler room
The optimisation is carried out in such a way as to meet the desired comfort levelwithout unnecessary energy expenditure.
